Ladies' Lunch

Today I got to have lunch with my ADORABLE niece, Lindsay. We ate in the cafeteria (I brought McDonald's though--I still have issues with eating hot lunch at school), I got to meet some of her friends---her new theme song is "Popular", and I got a tour of her classroom and desk which included getting to check out her artwork. She's such a cutie! THANKS LINDS!!!

Sit n Knit

My friend Kim (Meghan and Mackenzie's mom) invited me to her knitting group. My husband was worried I wouldn't be crafty enough, but Kim's a great teacher and I was able to accomplish this little bit of knitting. It's a lot of fun--and who knew it'd be something I could actually do. I am hoping to one day graduate from scarves to a hat--although all those double pointed needles kind of scared me.

Proofing

I have been lucky enough for the last 10 years to be able to proofread the Ensign Magazine twice a year at Conference time. It's fun to be able to read all of the Conference talks and be able to offer a little bit of service to the members of the Church. I really enjoy the time I am able to spend getting the Conference talks ready for the Internet and for publication in the Ensign. It's a fabulous opportunity. Please note in the picture I am the only one with a 32 oz Diet Coke---but since I bought it at the COB it is caffeine free. Hopefully I have done my job right and there won't be any "dead cats" (mistakes) in the magazine.

Our girls

These two adorable girls are Meghan and Mackenzie, Meghan is in Ryan's 4th grade class. Ryan calls Meghan and Mackenzie "Our girls" when referring to them. They are so cute we just love them---and like to tease that they can come live with us. We actually have a lot of fun hanging out with their family, they are such awesome people. We went out to celebrate Meghan's 10th birthday--we got a free drink because we had a penny older than 1979--it helped occupy about 3 minutes of the 45 minute wait.

Familes are Forever

I am so lucky to be sealed for time and all eternity to the love of my life. I am so grateful for families and so grateful we can be together forever. I am so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge and blessings it brings me.

Easter 2008

Easter Sunday.....lovely weather, good food, fun with family, egg hunt, and I survived conducting the ward choir in Sacrament Meeting. I am grateful for this time of year when I have the opportunity to reflect upon the life and death of our Savior and His Atoning Sacrifice. I am so grateful that we can live again with Him as eternal families
